From Ryan O’Toole:
My name is Ryan O’Toole and I work in Constituent Services at Governor McAuliffe’s office. I wanted to reach out to you to invite members of your organization, and all students at U of R, to apply for a fall internship at Governor McAuliffe’s office. We are currently accepting applications for our fall internship program in our office. We have flexible hour requirements, although we generally ask that applicants be able to work at least 8 hours a week with us, but that could be anywhere from 12-20 hours as well.
Interns in our office perform a critical role to assist constituents with their casework for issues they have with state government, answer phone calls, route all mail for the Governor’s office, and engage in outreach with constituents across Virginia. As the central office that connects the Governor to his constituents, our office is a great way for students to learn about the workings of the administration and state government.
We have a rolling admissions deadline and we definitely encourage applicants to send us their resume and a cover letter as soon as possible. Interns can start as early as mid-August as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
