Game of LIFE – Students for Educational Equality

Are you interested in awareness of educational inequality? Do you think it’s unfair that a child in this nation might receive an unequal education based on the community he/she is born into?

On Thursday afternoon, the Students For Educational Equality will be hosting their second Game of LIFE Demonstration in the Forum! There will be a life-sized board on the forum that players will have to navigate depending on certain life scenarios that they are given!

By seeing how far players get in our LIFE Demonstration, depending on the community and family they are born in, we hope to show how unequal opportunities can affect the lives of students in this nation. There are tons of educational facts that you can learn about the inequalities of education in our nation, and you will be able to see concrete examples of how living in a low-income or high-income area can really affect your LIFE.

If you would like to play the game, please contact krystal.mircovich@richmond.edu ahead of time so that each participant has a scenario to play!

I hope to see you all at the forum and let me know if you have any questions! You are more than welcome to come and watch to learn more about education inequality! For more information, please join our Facebook Event!
