Volunteers are needed for The Future of Richmond’s Past 150th Anniversary of the Civil War & Emancipation event going on downtown on April 12. The event is from 9 am – 6 pm. Volunteers would work one shift during the event depending on availability, and then have the rest of the day to enjoy the museums, tours, and slave walks that are a part of the event – all of which are completely free! Transportation will be provided by the university and every volunteer will receive a free t-shirt.
Volunteers are needed in a variety of positions, including but not limited to: setup and take-down, greeting visitors and handing out information, serving as a tour guide at historical sites, conducting interviews, and taking pictures. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Carolyn Martin at email@example.com or at 804-289-8088.
