Clinton Global Initiative University at Arizona State University March 21-23, 2014 – Travel Assistance Available

A great opportunity for Bonner Congress, as well as other interested students!

The seventh annual CGI U meeting will take place from March 21-23, 2014 at Arizona State University in metropolitan Phoenix. The meeting will assemble more than 1,000 innovative student leaders who have made Commitments to Action in CGI U’s five focus areas: education, environment and climate change, peace and human rights, poverty alleviation, and public health. More than $500,000 is already available to select CGI U 2014 students to help them turn their ideas into action.

Students will have the opportunity to attend plenary sessions, working sessions, and other special events that will cover topics across CGI U’s five focus areas and allow them to network with their peers, build skills, and identify potential partnerships. Youth organizations, topic experts, and celebrities will join students at the CGI U meeting to help them gain the skills and knowledge needed to take action on their commitments.

During the last day of the CGI U meeting, participants will have the opportunity to join in a Day of Action in the local community. Past community service projects have included rebuilding homes, working at a regional food bank, and rehabilitating facilities at a homeless assistance center.
