Start-Up Weekend Boot-Camp: New Orleans; January 3-5:  Tailored to students who want to sharpen an idea for an emerging social venture, this high-intensity experience takes place at Tulane University and will partner individuals or teams interested in launching a social venture with mentors and social entrepreneurs to help accelerate the concept to a plan. Cost of room, board, meals is $750 per student, assuming double occupancy. We are staying on St. Charles Avenue on Audubon Park. Faculty are welcome to come and observe. Sullivan’s Social Enterprise Concept Competition:  The competition will open online on November 15, with short submissions due by January 15, 2014. The top teams will be selected by February 15, 2014 and be invited to attend the Sullivan Spring Retreat on March 21-23. During the Spring Retreat the teams will be mentored, with final pitch and selection of winners on Sunday morning of the retreat.  The top winners will receive prize monies of $1,000, $500 and $250 each, plus scholarships to the Sullivan Summer Institute in Prague, Rome, Panama or Raleigh.
