Students for Educational Equality (SEE) start to mobilize for the 2012-2013 year

From the SEE executive team:

We are really looking forward to getting started with SEE this year.  SEE is an organization for students who are interested in exploring issues of educational equality.  Many of us volunteer in school or after school settings, take coursework related to education, and/or have an interest in education policy.  As a student serving in an educational setting and/or interested in education, we encourage you to join us!

We think we have a lot of terrific ideas and ways to make SEE even bigger and better than previous years! We can’t wait to meet new members and hear from current ones. Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 10th at 6:00 pm in the Tyler Haynes Commons Room 305. During this meeting, we will be electing some members to the executive board, designing the committees, defining goals for each committee, and coming up with Event ideas. We want to include everyone in this goal setting process, so please think about what positions you would like to hold or any special event you think would be exciting for us to incorporate into SEE this year– it shouldn’t take more than an hour, so hopefully everyone can make it!

Please feel free to email if you can’t make it or have any questions!  You can contact Alexandra Hackett at
Can’t wait to meet everyone and hear your ideas for SEE this year!

See you all soon,
